Repurposing with AI

I’ve had a busy few weeks for a variety of reasons. We’ve had a full house of blended family with Finn being home from his travelling adventures, Easter school holidays for my stepdaughter and house guests. I’ve also had a cluster of social activities as well as spinning all the plates that are required as a busy solopreneur. As such I’ve been making use of my trusty excel spreadsheet for repurposing content ideas across my social media with a fee updated graphics etc.

I took a spa day yesterday with friends and was getting a bit stressed about taking time off because I had a long list of things I needed to do. Anyway, rather than feel guilty about it I chose to enjoy it. After all, what’s the point of being your own boss if you’re going to deny yourself annual leave? This did mean I had a lovely time with friends but also I was v tired yesterday evening. (Spa days always make me tired.)

The knock on effect was that I didn’t leave myself a lot of time for my blog this week. So, in the purposes of time saving, research and repurposing I chose to get help from Magic Write on Canva and Chat GPT. I asked them to help me with a blog about repurposing and using AI to help generate content...Here’s the outcome.

Expanding your digital footprint

In today’s digital era, content is king. However, for the busy solopreneur, consistently generating fresh, engaging content can be a daunting task. Repurposing existing content is not just a time-saving strategy; it’s a smart business move. It allows for the amplification of your message across different platforms, reaching various segments of your audience without the need to constantly produce new content from scratch.

Repurposing content effectively breathes new life into previous efforts. For instance, a detailed blog post can be transformed into an infographic, a video tutorial, or even a series of social media posts. This approach not only maximizes the visibility and utility of the original content but also caters to different learning styles and preferences within your audience. Some people prefer visual information, while others might be more inclined to engage with written or auditory content. By repurposing content, you’re essentially diversifying the ways in which your audience can interact with your message, thus increasing engagement and the potential for conversions.

Also, apparently , repurposing content can significantly enhance your SEO efforts. By targeting different keywords and formats, you’re expanding your digital footprint and improving your chances of being discovered by new audiences. It’s also a way to reinforce your authority on a subject matter, as repeated exposure to your insights on various platforms can establish you as a thought leader in your niche. In essence, repurposing content allows busy solopreneurs to make the most of their time and resources, ensuring their valuable insights achieve the broadest possible impact. This strategic approach to content creation not only alleviates the pressure to constantly produce new material but also ensures that every piece of content works harder for your business.

Maximise your digital presence

Repurposing social media content is an excellent strategy for maximising your digital presence and ensuring your message reaches as broad an audience as possible. Here are 10 top tips to effectively repurpose your content across various platforms.

Identify Your Top-Performing Content: Begin by analysing which posts have driven the most engagement, shares, or traffic. These high-performing pieces are your prime candidates for repurposing, as they have already proven to resonate with your audience.
Tailor Content for Each Platform: Different social media platforms cater to various audience preferences and content formats. Adapt your content to fit the unique style and requirements of each platform. For instance, a long-form article on LinkedIn can be turned into an engaging infographic for Instagram, videos for TikTok or a series of tweets on Twitter.
Create Short Video Clips: Convert your existing content into short video clips. This could mean turning key points from a blog post into a short, engaging explainer video. Videos tend to have high engagement rates and can be shared across most social media platforms. Facebook is currently pushing video to get people back from other platforms.
Develop a Series: If you have content that covers a comprehensive topic, consider breaking it down into a series. This approach works well for educational content, guiding your audience through a topic step by step across multiple posts or videos. As you know, I love an A-Z series myself.
Use Quotes as Stand-alone Posts: As well as quoting famous people or things from books think about extracting compelling quotes or insights from your content and use them as stand-alone posts. These can be visually appealing and shareable, making them perfect for platforms like Instagram and Twitter.
Repurpose User-Generated Content: Encourage your audience to create their own content related to your brand or message, and then share this content on your channels. This not only provides you with fresh content but also boosts engagement and community feeling. This might be them taking a selfie with your book or product for example.
Create Infographics: Convert your content into infographics, Canva templates are great for this. These are particularly useful for summarising research findings, statistics, or guides. Infographics are highly shareable and can be used across various platforms, including Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
Host a Webinar or Live Q&A: Use the content of your posts as the basis for a live Q&A session or webinar. This interactive format can help deepen the connection with your audience and provide a fresh perspective on your content.
Compile Content into an eBook or Guide: Collect related posts, articles, or other content pieces and compile them into a comprehensive eBook or guide. This can then be offered as a download on your website or shared in parts across social media platforms.
Leverage Podcasts: Turn your content into podcast episodes. This format is ideal for in-depth discussions on topics you’ve covered in your posts or articles. Podcasts are growing in popularity and can reach an audience that prefers audio content over written or visual.

Remember, repurposing content is not just about recycling; it’s about reimagining how your message can be presented and shared to capture the interest of different segments of your audience. By creatively leveraging your existing content across various formats and platforms, you can significantly amplify your online presence and engagement.
